Best Inexpensive Portable Battery Chargers and More to Keep You Powered Up

According to recent statistics, the average person in the United States spends over four hours a day on their smartphone alone. Add in other electronic devices like tablets, laptops, and wearable tech, and it’s clear that we’re living in an era where being constantly connected is the norm. But with great connectivity comes great responsibility—or rather, the responsibility to ensure you have a reliable portable battery charger to stay powered up whenever and wherever you need it.

These days, kids have their own bevy of electronics and learning devices that need power.

Whatever your dollar and weight budget for an external battery, I recommend that you cut it in half and get two, either two the same or one standard and one solar.

    Use cases:

    (1) Insurance against the day when your battery dies at an inconvenient moment.

    (2) Have one battery recharging at home or base while the other is in your bag, swap every time you are at home.

The more you rely on your phone the more important this is; GPS use, in particular, drains charge quickly.

Great idea! My external has saved me many times, but I left it at home plugged in one day when I really needed it.
