Holiday Fudge Recipe—Sinfully Delicious, Super Easy!
Chocolate fudge always conjurs up two distinct memories: The intoxicating smell coming from the small fudge shop in the town where I grew up and opening the box of homemade treats my grandparents always sent us for Christmas.
It’s hard to go wrong with a delicious, consumable gift for any occasion, but especially Christmas. Perfect homemade fudge that’s neither complicated nor fussy marks off all the boxes for both giver and recipient.
This easy chocolate fudge, made with chocolate chips and marshmallows, is done in 25 minutes. A classic holiday staple!

Holiday Chocolate Fudge
It's smooth, creamy and easy to make! What you definitely need is a timer. The success here depends on exact timing. And when you get it right? Wow, this will become your holiday signature contribution to every event. It will be your go-to gift for friends, neighbors, relatives far and wide. It really is THAT good.

Ingredients
- 12 marshmallows regular size (not mini)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 6 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1 6 oz. pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 1 tspn vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Makes: 8 x 8inch rectangle, 1inch height
Instructions
- Lightly grease an 8 x 8 square baking dish
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chocolate chips, walnuts if using, and butter. Set aside
- In a large sauce pan set over medium heat, combine the marshmallows, sugar, and milk, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil.
- Boil precisely 6 minutes (time this carefully) and remove from stove.
- Pour the hot mixture over ingredients in the bowl. Stir to combine then beat by hand OR on low speed with an electric mixer for exactly 20 minutes without stopping until it has been exactly 20 minutes.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Pour into the buttered square dish. Allow to cool and set.
- Cut into 36 (1.3"x1.3") squares, or 64 (1"x1") squares—or in any size and pattern you desire.
Notes
If this does not turn out perfectly, likely you did not believe me about exact timing. Try again. It’s that good, and not that expensive to make.
