40-Day Christmas Challenge Welcome!

Welcome to EC’s annual 40-Day Christmas Challenge! Beginning tomorrow and for the next 40 days a daily challenge—something to do or think about that day to get ready for Christmas.

We’ll do this together using the comments (scroll way down below)to accept the challenge, add comments, questions, or even specific holiday challenges you may need help with that pertain to that day. (Comments will start over each day). I’m super excited that Christmas is only 40 days away.

And don’t worry. We’re not keeping track, not making any lists. You won’t get any marketing follow-ups either—nothing like that. You’re accountable to no one but yourself.

It helps to remember why we are celebrating Christ…mas. Its the Birth of our Lord and Savior. Find a family in need and buy them a Gift that they are in need of. Then give your family notice that you did that in Their Honor.

I took care of 2 December birthdays and 3 Christmas presents today. My daughter-laws birthday is Dec. 1 and the 10 year old twins turn 11 the say after Christmas. Grandma needs ideas!

We’ve been trying to focus on experiences rather than things we decided to gift them tickets to a production of the Lion King after Christmas! The cost of the tickets was about the same amount as we spend on the twins for Christmas and birthday combined. I will wrap an inexpensive stuffed lion toy with a “gift certificate” for each recipient for them to unwrap along with books I bought during the year. We did something similar a few years ago and it was a great hit. Spreads out the fun.
