Looking for the best inexpensive vegetable peeler? The Dreamfarm Sharple is here to revolutionize your meal prep. This budget-friendly, self-sharpening peeler ensures a smooth, efficient peeling experience every time. For under $10, you can say goodbye to dull blades and hello to effortless cooking with the best kitchen gadget around.

For years, I’ve relied on a pair of produce peelers. One is red, the other green. Green is for hard-skinned produce like potatoes, carrots, apples—the red peeler for delicate, soft-skinned items like tomatoes, pears, and grapes. OK, just kidding about the grapes, but you get the idea…

I’ve come to loathe my peelers, not only because they don’t do a spectacular job of peeling but because I can never remember which is which. I don’t think I have ever grabbed the correct option on the first try. And since they are not marked, I have to actually try, for example, the green one on a potato to figure it out. Should be red on an apple (makes sense) but I can’t remember. So annoying.

But here’s something I’ve never considered about any vegetable peeler. Like fine cutlery, a peeler needs to be sharpened! That being the case, surely my peelers are meant to be disposable. There is no way I could get in there with a sharpener.

After reading, testing, and joyfully throwing out my pair of peelers, I have added a new member to my kitchen utensil drawer—the Dreamfarm Sharple. This clever gadget is a fruit and vegetable peeler that automatically sharpens itself every time I open it, use it, then again when I close it. How cool is that? My new Sharple is quite possibly one of the best kitchen gadgets I’ve ever used. It has added a touch of fun and a whole lot of efficiency to my meal prep.

Why the Dreamfarm Sharple is the Best Vegetable Peeler

Never a Dull Moment

With the Dreamfarm Sharple, peeling fruits and vegetables is as easy as pie. Its built-in ceramic ball sharpener automatically hones the blade every time you open or close the cover. This means you’re always working with a razor-sharp edge, effortlessly tackling even the toughest skins.

Sharpest Tool in the Shed

The Dreamfarm Sharple’s blade is crafted from razor-sharp Japanese stainless steel, designed to last a lifetime. Its swivel design reduces waste by peeling just the right amount, ensuring you get the most out of your produce. And while I prefer to hand wash mine, the manufacturer assures it’s dishwasher safe, so you have options.

Ambidextrous Ease

Whether you’re a leftie or a rightie, this peeler has you covered. The ergonomic handle offers maximum control and comfort for everyone. Plus, the handle’s drainage channels make cleaning a breeze, so you can spend less time washing up and more time enjoying your meal.

For Prying Eyes

The handle tip includes a practical potato eye and blemish remover, adding even more convenience to this nifty gadget. It’s super easy to use and ensures your veggies look their best.

Where to Buy the Best Inexpensive Vegetable Peeler

For those who prefer buying directly from the source, the Dreamfarm website is a reliable option. Purchasing from the manufacturer ensures you get the latest updates and possibly exclusive deals. Plus, Dreamfarm frequently offers reliable shipping options. Here’s the link to buy: Dreamfarm Sharple on Dreamfarm.

One of the best places to purchase the Dreamfarm Sharple is Amazon. Known for its quick restocks and reliable shipping, Amazon offers this peeler at a competitive price. Plus, with Prime, you can enjoy fast and free delivery. Here’s the link to buy: Dreamfarm Sharple on Amazon.

Walmart is another excellent option for purchasing the Dreamfarm Sharple. While stock can sometimes be limited, it’s worth checking their website frequently. Walmart often provides great deals and the convenience of in-store pickup. Here’s the link to buy: Dreamfarm Sharple on Walmart.

Whether you choose Amazon, Walmart, or the Dreamfarm website, you’re making a smart investment in a kitchen gadget that will enhance your meal prep for years to come.

I bought this and love it except for cleaning. How do you get the bits of peel out? Hoping you have a suggestion.
Thank you for all the help you offer to us readers every day.

Used mine tonight to peel a cucumber… works so smoothly. I then used it to make really thin slices of the cucumber. And my celery! Did a great job.

This peeler is phenomenal! I was so very tired of buying new peelers every 6 months or so. I was so impressed with this, I sent one to my daughter as a ‘just because’ gift.

Hi Mary. I purchased the Dreamfarm Sharple last year when you shared about it. I also purchased one for my daughter. Let me tell you, it is the BEST tip you have ever given us. It peels anything with ease, I even buy real carrots now (instead of the “baby” carrots) because it is a pleasure to use the Sharple. Thank you so much for all your hints, tips and humor! Love your column.

Where can I purchase this peeler? Checked Amazon and they said “don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”

EC Readers are so crazy about this product, we seem to frequently sell out Amazon and Walmart. Typically Amazon restocks  quickly, Walmart can be iffy. So keep checking. Direct from Dreamfarm is reliable.

I have this peeler and I am thrilled. It is a great tool for all veggies. I have arthritis and this tool is so much easier to use. Even works on potatoes that have gotten a little to soft to peel.

I do not have this peeler so I can’t comment on it. I do have an OXO peeler that literally changed my life. I refused to peel carrots before because it was so difficult for me. The OXO sharpener has such a comfortable handle and, despite not having a sharpener, has never felt dull in the decade I’ve owned it. I have gifted one to many people over the years.
