40-Day Christmas Challenge Welcome!

Welcome to EC’s annual 40-Day Christmas Challenge! Beginning tomorrow and for the next 40 days a daily challenge—something to do or think about that day to get ready for Christmas.

We’ll do this together using the comments (scroll way down below)to accept the challenge, add comments, questions, or even specific holiday challenges you may need help with that pertain to that day. (Comments will start over each day). I’m super excited that Christmas is only 40 days away.

And don’t worry. We’re not keeping track, not making any lists. You won’t get any marketing follow-ups either—nothing like that. You’re accountable to no one but yourself.

Im ready. I need a cheap christmas. How do you get everyone to agree to just enjoy each others company without having to worry about going broke buying for everyone.

An easy way to do this is to draw names for the adults – that way everyone only buys 1 present. Of course, the kiddos want all the gifts!

We draw names…try to be hush hush like Secret Santa but it doesn’t always work. Besides, we are in separate households, many states away. There’s six of them and four of us…so two people usually double up…one being a couple. Mine this year is mom and daughter. Dad’s hardest to buy for!. This year our gift limit is $25. Not required to spend for new…can be white elephant, regifting, gently used, antique, resale, home made, etc. This allows me to get more than one gift per person. Gifts that are just nice…that you think that person might like. I always like to throw in a “gag” gift/funny gift as well. Or, $25 gift card…but as we read in EC article…gotta shop wisely!
