Where to Buy Nok-Out Now That NokOut.com Is Closed
For years, Nok-Out has been my go-to for stubborn odors—and I know many of you feel the same way. So when NokOut.com closed, my inbox filled with panicked emails: “Where can I buy Nok-Out now?!” I reached out to Ted (whose family created NokOut.com) to get the inside scoop. Good news: You can still get your hands on it! Here’s what you need to know—and why SNiPER is a trickier case.

Nok-Out and I met quite by accident. In searching for ways my readers could deal with offensive odors, we found each other online. That was more than 20 years ago, and I’ve been a loyal fan ever since. I’ve used Nok-Out continuously in my home and have recommended it to readers facing serious and potentially expensive odor issues. When it comes to odor elimination, not everything in life can be doused in bleach. But in Nok-Out? No problem!
At first, I treated Nok-Out like liquid gold, rationing every drop for only the most extreme odor emergencies. But over time, I realized its everyday potential. Pet accidents, musty closets, smelly gym bags, or even that forgotten science experiment in the back of the fridge—Nok-Out tackles them all without harsh chemicals or overpowering fragrances. It truly eliminates odors rather than masking them, making it an absolute staple in my home.
But if you’ve searched for it lately, you might have noticed something strange—NokOut.com is gone. Here’s what happened.
What Happened to NokOut.com?
Ted and his mom Lou (who originally founded NokOut.com) ran the business for years as a small, independent operation. But as of early 2024, NokOut.com has officially closed.
The good news? Nok-Out is still available! Ted confirmed that Nok-Out can now be purchased on Amazon and Walmart.com. However, its sister product, SNiPER, is mostly available on Amazon depending on which state you live. Since it carries an EPA Registration, SNiPER must be registered individually in each state for sale and renewed annually—a costly process that the manufacturer has not continued. As a result, SNiPER is available only in certain states. You can check by adding Sniper to your Amazon cart, then attempt to complete the purchase.
Ted explained it this way: “My mom and I had always been a small operation, allowing us to fly under the radar and, therefore, could sell and deliver to those states without any issues. However, Amazon and Walmart have to toe the line.”
Where to Buy Nok-Out Now
It’s a smelly world out there and I don’t want to live in it without Nok-Out. And while no one can ever replace Ted, Nok-Out is still within easy reach. You can find it on Amazon, available in 1-gallon bottles, 32-ounce spray, and 16-ounce spray options with the added bonus of Prime two-day shipping (for those of us who need it ASAP).
(Disclosure: This post includes an Amazon Creator Connections product. I may earn a small commission if you purchase through the link, at no additional cost to you.)
Over on Walmart.com, you’ll find Nok-Out in 1-gallon, 32-ounce spray, and 16-ounce spray options, with free shipping. Generally speaking, Amazon seems to have the better deal—if you have a Prime membership—but as always, prices fluctuate, so it’s worth doing a quick price check before you buy.
Now, here’s something interesting: I also stumbled across Nok-Out Premium Grade Pet Shampoo for Dogs and Cats on both Amazon and Walmart. I haven’t had a chance to do any deep digging, but in theory, if your poor pup ever gets skunked, this shampoo might be a solid option. Do your own research and check with your vet first, but it’s something to keep in mind!
Bottom line? Nok-Out is still out there… you just have to know where to look. And now, you do!
Why Nok-Out Is Still the Best Odor Eliminator
I’ve sung Nok-Out’s praises for years, but if you’re new to this odor-eliminating miracle, let me tell you—it’s not just another spray-and-pray deodorizer. Nok-Out doesn’t mask smells with overpowering fragrances or questionable chemicals. It actually eliminates odors at the source.
If you’ve been using Nok-Out for a while, you probably have a few go-to ways you rely on it. But whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering it, here are some of the biggest reasons why Nok-Out remains my all-time favorite odor eliminator.
1. Completely Safe
Some odor eliminators come with a side of toxic fumes—Nok-Out doesn’t. It’s non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and totally safe to use around kids, pets, and anyone with allergies or sensitivities. It looks like water, has no scent, and won’t irritate your skin or lungs.
2. Kills COVID-19 and More
Nok-Out’s companion product, SNiPER, isn’t just an odor eliminator—it’s also a powerful disinfectant. It kills COVID-19, H1N1, H3N2, and a whole host of nasty bacteria and viruses. Whether it’s cold and flu season or you’re just looking for a safe way to disinfect surfaces, SNiPER has you covered.
3. The Cleanest “Smell” of All
Ever walked into a room and been hit in the face with artificial “fresh” scents like tropical mango mystery or sugar-cookie-overload? Yeah, me too. Nok-Out doesn’t add fragrance—it just removes odors. The result? A space that smells like nothing at all, which is the freshest smell of all.
4. Saves Stuff from the Landfill
I can’t tell you how many amazing finds would have been ruined if not for Nok-Out. From antique furniture to a vintage Singer Featherweight sewing machine with a terminal case of mildew, Nok-Out has saved the day. It’s been worth every penny, especially when the alternative is sending perfectly good items to the trash.
5. Eliminates Pet Odors—Permanently
Let’s talk about the ultimate nightmare: cat urine. If you’ve ever dealt with that, you know how it soaks into carpet, wood, and even concrete—to the point where selling the house seems like the only option. That was the case for my friends in Houston, who tried everything. Then they found Nok-Out. It didn’t just mask the smell—it erased it for good.
6. Kicks Mold and Mildew to the Curb
Mildew smells are sneaky, and once they take hold, they don’t want to leave. Nok-Out stops mildew before it spreads and removes that awful damp smell from furniture, closets, basements—you name it.
7. Essential for Care Facilities
There’s no way to sugarcoat this: nursing homes and care facilities come with some pretty powerful odors. Nok-Out doesn’t just make these spaces more pleasant—it creates a healthier, fresher environment for both residents and caregivers.
8. Made in the USA (and Backed by Science)
Nok-Out is made right here in the USA by Global Environmental Restoration, Inc. (G.E.R.). Their secret? A unique, stabilized Chlorine Dioxide (ClO₂) formula that’s powerful enough to kill bacteria, viruses, mold, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)—all without harsh chemicals or toxic fumes. Many have tried to copy it, but Nok-Out and its companion disinfectant, SNiPER, remain one-of-a-kind.
Nok-Out vs. Bleach: No Contest
Sure, you could stock up on bleach for the same price as a gallon of Nok-Out. But bleach is toxic—you wouldn’t spray it on your baby’s nursery, your carpet, or your musty antique dresser. Nok-Out, on the other hand? Safe, effective, and ready for any odor challenge.
Question: What’s the worst smell you’ve ever had to tackle at home, and what finally got rid of it? (Bonus points if the answer is Nok-Out!)

Hi, Nok Out is great and I need to replace my now-empty bottle. But I’m confused when you say Nok Out is “out of business, but being sold on Amazon”. Does that mean the original owners sold the business? Or did they hand off distribution responsibilities to Amazon and Walmart, which is a different thing? If they’ve sold the business, how are we the customer to know that the new owner(s) won’t mess up/change the product?
Sorry for the confusion. Ted the owner of Nokout.com, was the #1 NokOut distributor, and recently closed his business. Made the USA NokOut has other distributors, but we have been unable to locate them. Anyone? Please let us hear from you.
This is weird, but the stabilized chlorine dioxide in NokOut, is also an ingredient in the CloSYS mouthwash you recommended.
I used NokOut to remove musty odors from an old cedar chest . I spoke with Ted, followed directions….Magic the smell is gone and hasn’t returned 5+ years later!!!!!!
This stuff is great! I prefer the Sniper, but either will work well. My tip is this: to freshen pillows, spray them lightly with Sniper, and then toss them in the dryer for about 20 minutes on low heat. (I have two kinds of pillows: synthetic fill and cubed foam.) They come out fluffy and smelling fresh!
Nok-Out really did well getting rid of elderly urine smells and smells on clothes. Thank you so much!!!!
And years ago I purchased NokOut, I dealt with Lou Osbourne (the nicest lady ever!) Well I bough a spray bottle to try it and when my dog came home smelling of skunk – I applied it directly to his fur and in a short time when it dried the smell was totally gone. Then I bought a gallon to have one hand and it is a good thing I did because over a course of time my neighbor needed some and her friend needed some for their dog, skunk issue with the dogs. So at least I could give them aeach a spray bottle of Nok-Out. By the way I don’t dilute it. I love Sniper too. I keep a plastic sandwich bag with paper towels in it soaked with Sniper in my car. So every time I leave a store I just wipe my hands with it because of COVID-19!! Thanks Mary for turning me on to these!
We had a cat issue, not peeing but marking his territory. I had been using NOK-Out for over 5 years. So, I called Ted and with his help and guidance, the smell was conquered in no time at all. We can’t live without this product. We use it almost daily. From cat litter box cleanup to shower stall weekly clean up! Mary, you first guided us to this GREAT product. We are forever thankful to you.
Great feedback, Cay! Thanks for letting us know of your success. Thanks, too, to our friend Ted at Nok-Out!
Mary, I purchased the one gallon size of Nok Out. I transfer it to spray bottles and use it in our pet areas. Are we supposed to use it full strength or are we to dilute it? My first gallon I didn’t dilute it but I’m wondering if I’m supposed to.
Hi Joanna … In this application, Ted will tell you to use it full strength. That being said, there are so many ways to use Nok-Out, some of which you can dilute 1:1 with water, up to even 5:1. As for SNiPER, and please confirm this at Nokout.com (where you will find lots of directives, articles, and testimonials), you can dilute up to 6:1 with water to retain its effectiveness against germs, bacteria, COVID-19.
Nok-Out really works! Last summer, it was my husband’s job to unload the groceries we had just bought from my car. Because I wasn’t driving due to a knee issue, we were generally going places in his truck, but had used my SUV that particular trip. The car is always parked in the garage, but left closed up. About a week or so later, we started noticing a bad smell in the garage. We checked the trash can in the garage, plus hubby looked everywhere to make sure no critter had died in there, etc. We couldn’t figure out the source of the odor and it was getting worse. A few days later, I happened to open my car door, and was literally knocked backwards with the smell that hit. I immediately shut the door and left the job of figuring out what the heck was going on to my husband. After a bit he came in to tell me he’d found the source of the smell-it was a grocery bag he’d missed last time. After thinking about it, I realized it was some asparagus we’d bought and forgotten about. Fortunately, it was in a plastic produce bag, which was in a plastic grocery bag, so the nasty, rotten mess had stayed inside the bags and not leaked into the carpet, but the smell was rverywhere. (It was summer in No. Ca, so the temperatures were in, or near, triple digits every day) He opened all the doors to air everything out, but after a week it still was undrivable. I remembered hearing you mention Nok-Out, and ordered some. When it arrived, the smell in my car was still too strong for driving, so my husband used it in the car. I forget if he used it once or numerous times, but it worked! After a short time, the smell was totally gone and my car was once again fresh and clean smelling. Thanks for letting us know about Nok-Out; it saved my car!
Wow … great big smelly problem, solved! Yay for Nok-Out. It really is that awesome. And the best part … it is clear like water, has no fumes, odor. It is harmless to human babies, kids, teens, adults or their pets! The process by which Nok-Out works is called oxidation. It’s a science thing, a chemical reaction. Nok-Out turns the stink into pure oxygen. I’m no scientist so I’ll let you learn more about that at Nok-Out.com
Hello,
Is there a coupon link for Nok-Out. I ordered some a while back and thought you had provided a link for a coupon.
Thank you
Peggy Legg
Not at this time, Peggy. We may be having another Nok-Out Giveaway in the future, should you feel lucky and have time to wait 🙂
