- 2/3 cup ground coffee
- 3 cinnamon sticks 3 inches long
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 6 cups cold water
- Milk and additional sugar optional for serving
Place the ground coffee into a filter and set it in the brew basket of your coffee maker.
Add the cinnamon sticks and brown sugar directly to the empty carafe.
Pour the cold water into the coffee maker and start the brew cycle.
When brewing is complete, stir well to dissolve the sugar and distribute the cinnamon flavor.
Pour into cups, keeping the cinnamon sticks in the pot. Serve with milk and extra sugar, if desired.
For a richer flavor, use dark roast coffee.
