DIY Swiffer WetJet Reusable Cleaning Pads

Love your Swiffer WetJet but not the price of those disposable pads? Try these easy, budget-friendly reusable pads that work just as well!

Course: DIY Household Cleaners
Cuisine: Housekeeping
Cost: $0.01

Ingredients

  • 1 microfiber cloth cut into rectangles, or a fuzzy sock

Instructions

  • Measure & Cut: Using your Swiffer mop head as a guide, cut the microfiber cloth or towel into rectangles, leaving about 1 1/2 inches of overlap on the long sides. This lets you tuck the edges securely into the mop’s cloth holder.
  • Sock Hack: For an even quicker solution, slip a fuzzy sock over the mop head like a big stretchy cover—easy, no cutting required!

Notes

Wash & Reuse: After cleaning, toss your DIY pads in the washing machine along with your regular cleaning rags. They’re ready to go again for next time!
Where to Buy Fuzzy Socks: If you’re low on fuzzy socks, pick them up at stores like Amazon, Walmart, or Target—typically around $1.50 a pair (that’s two cleaning pads!).
