Equipment

  • Small spray bottle (glass or plastic)
  • Measuring cups
  • microfiber cloth or soft rag

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 10 drops lemon essential oil or juice from 1 lemon

Instructions

  • Pour olive oil and vinegar into a small spray bottle.
  • Add lemon essential oil (or fresh lemon juice) and shake well to combine.
  • Before each use, shake the bottle to re-mix the ingredients.
  • Lightly spray onto a microfiber cloth (never directly on wood).
  • Wipe wooden surfaces with the damp cloth.
  • Buff with a clean, dry cloth for a streak-free shine.

Notes

  • Do not let the vinegar sit on the wood—wipe it off immediately to prevent damage.
  • Always test on a small, hidden area first, especially on antique or delicate wood.
  • Store the mixture in a cool, dark place and use within a month for best results.
  • Works best on sealed wood surfaces—avoid using on unfinished or waxed wood.
  • Alternative scent ideas: Try orange, lavender, or tea tree essential oil for a different fresh scent.
