Servings: 16 oz
Cost: $1-$2
- 2 tspn borax
- 1 tspn washing soda
- 8 oz very hot water
- 1 tspn Blue Dawn Ultra dishwashing liquid
- 8 oz warm water
- ¼ tspn lemon essential oil
- ½ tspn orange essential oil
- ¼ drops cinnamon essential oil
- ¼ tspn clove essential oil
Add borax and washing soda to your spray bottle. Carefully pour in the very hot water and shake until mostly dissolved.
Remove the spray top and add dish soap and essential oils.
Fill the bottle with warm water, leaving about 1 inch of space at the top.
Replace the spray top and gently shake to combine. Avoid over-shaking to keep suds under control.
Spray onto bathroom surfaces including sinks, tubs, toilets, tile, and fixtures. Let sit for 1–2 minutes, then wipe clean with a sponge or cloth. Finish with a slightly damp microfiber cloth for a clean, polished look.
Skip the scrubbing marathon: Letting the cleaner sit for a minute or two does most of the heavy lifting for you.
Essential oils are optional: They add a pleasant scent, but the cleaner works just fine without them.
Avoid natural stone: Not recommended for granite, marble, or other delicate surfaces.
Label your bottle: Especially if you keep multiple DIY cleaners on hand.
Store safely: Keep out of reach of kids and pets.
