- 8 oz. log goat cheese softened
- 2 cups jarred marinara or spaghetti sauce
- 8 leaves fresh basil cut into ribbons
- ¼ tsp sea salt or kosher salt
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Press the goat cheese into a small baking dish, forming it to fit while leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Spoon the marinara into the border, covering the edges of the cheese but leaving the center exposed.
Sprinkle with salt and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is hot and soft and the sauce is bubbling.
Remove from oven and sprinkle the fresh basil ribbons on top.
Serve immediately with crostini, crusty bread, or crackers for dipping.
- Want extra flavor? Drizzle with a little balsamic glaze before serving.
- Make it spicy! Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinara.
- Pairing suggestion: Serve with a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
- Leftovers? Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through.
