I have the privilege of being the babysitter! Two of my grandchildren are 8 and 10 and live very close (7 minutes away) so I am able to sit even though my son and his wife do not take advantage. I enjoy being able to spend time with the kiddos at Christmas time because we can do crafts together and I can take them shopping for their parents. I just make sure that I have everything else done so I can be with them and enjoy them! My other little grandson (7 months) lives over an hour away so it’s a BIG deal to see him so I have no problem making time for him!
I know I’m truly blessed and I am thankful every single day for it. Hopefully, for other young parents there is someone that can enjoy their children so they can have time to enjoy adult Christmas activities as well.
